Two key challenges within my work are creating the illusion of both depth and motion. I’ve played with many ways to achieve this but in this most recent piece I’ve taken a new approach. First, I’ve found a new tool/brush style (Yay! I love new toys! ) Then, through the application of multiple layers of overlapping colors and painting in a very loose way, I’ve found a fun new way to get that impression of movement.
