Painting on glass is a unique process, much different than traditional work done on canvas. With the finished product you are actually looking through the glass to what I’ve painted onto the back. With canvas, the first thing you see as the viewer, are the final touches put into place (such as fine details or my signature). The process here is opposite. What you see is the first time my brush hit the glass, followed by layers that were built in reverse. Typically my first step is signing the piece (backwards).

This brings a new spark to my interest in light as many of these works have areas of transparency which create a luminous inner glow within each piece.
