I’ve recently done a bit of traveling to where I didn’t bring all of my art gear. I selected just a few tubes of paint, my tools and a pad of canvas paper. This was time meant only to play and explore, not to create any form of a finished product. What an AWESOME experience! I felt very free in my choices. There was no concern over wrecking an expensive canvas by doing too many crazy things to it. Zero pressure to finish something that I had started. Just experimentation and thoughtful, but worry free creativity. I assume many of the paper studies will develop into future work on regular stretched canvas. Here’s are two new pieces, using some fun new color combinations, that were created after my play time on the road.
