I Love, Love, Love playing with different tools and techniques within my work. This piece is similar in palette and scene to Aura, which I completely a number of weeks back, yet they have a very different feel!
With Aura, the paint was applied in many layers and I allowed the under lying layers to show through in certain areas. This piece below, was done in a very quick and expressive way. I laid paint thickly onto the surface; many times even mixing colors directly on the canvas and then scrape out sections of paint to expose the original surface color(s).
