Okay, here’s one more Spring inspired piece that I’ve recently brought to DragonFire. This piece was SO much fun to paint! I used a slow-dry medium to keep my paints wet for an extended period and to make them act a little more like oils. (It gives the paint a thicker consistency and enables you to mix some colors right on the canvas). With this medium, I must work very quickly and intuitively. You’d think with hearing the words slow-dry, I would have tons of time but it’s a wet-in-wet style of painting vs building up layers. Fading Light was created in just two ‘sittings’.
