Louise’s Poppies

Awhile back I was approached by someone through my website regarding a painting for his wife. They had seen my work many months earlier at a winery and he kept my card. (Which makes me happy as a clam but it was also a bit of a lesson to me).  I haven’t really put a lot of stock in ‘the artist business card’. I had some made upon someone’s suggestion and occasionally put them out with my work – I’ll be more consistent in the future….

Anyway, he was interested in a piece that had since sold. He asked that I recreate it for his wife, who really seemed to like it at the show. The original painting was done a couple of years back and it’s a style that I haven’t done much with in the last few months. I had SO much fun with this! My husband even commented many times through the process, about how he could see and feel my energy over it. And he’s right, I am inspired!  So, here are Louise’s Poppies… I hope she’ll enjoy them as much I as enjoyed painting them for her!

Thank you, to the collector in Renton!
